My empties #01

Ich bin momentan eifrig dabei meine Kosmetikprodukte aufzubrauchen – nicht mit Muss, aber neue Sachen werden wirklich nur dann gekauft, wenn ich sie benötige. Daher möchte ich euch meine Produkte, die ich geleert habe monatlich vorstellen. Ich teile diese in drei Kategorien ein:
a) "Möchte ich unbedingt wieder benutzen",
b) "Leider nein" und
c) "Ja, aber …"

EN: At the moment I am busy with using up my beauty products, since this is a big resolution of me. Therefore I would like to present you my products that I have emptied in a monthly roundup. There are three categories:
a) "Yes, please!" - Products that I will purchase again
b) "Unfortunately, no" - Some, which I won't buy anymore and
c) "Yes, but ..." - There's a snag in it
 

Lush "Celebrate" - € 24,95 / 225 g
*only available on Christmas Season

Als ich die Körpercreme im Shop ausprobiert habe, musste ich sofort zuschlagen. Orange und Mandelöl pflegen die strapazierte Winterhaut und obwohl es das Produkt nicht verspricht, hält das Ergebnis 48 Stunden an. Daher werde ich es mir heuer zu Weihnachten sicher wieder zulegen.

EN: Unfortunately this body cream is a limited edition and only available on Christmas season. I like the organgy smell and the most important thing: my skin was so soft after I used this stuff. Especially my knees are always rough and dry but "Celebrate" rescued me ;-)

Nivea Soft - € 5,46 / 200 ml

Diese Creme ist eine gute Alternative zum reichhaltigen Original und auch als Körpercreme verwendbar. Im Gesicht würde ich sie persönlich nicht anwenden, da sie Paraffine enthält und ich hier lieber auf eine klassische Gesichtspflege zurückgreife.

I really like the “soft” version of the Nivea cream because it softens your skin like the original one, but I would not use it in my face, even if it is recommended, because it contains Paraffinum Liquidum.

Origins "Checks and Balances" - € 21,95 / 150 ml

Ich weiß, dass sich bei diesem Produkt die Geister scheiden, da es bei manchen die Haut austrocknet und Rötungen verursacht. Das war anfangs auch bei mir der Fall, da ich zu viel davon verwendet habe. Seitdem ich aber eine erbsengroße Menge benutze, entsteht auch nicht mehr dieses “seifige” Gefühl und die Haut ist gereinigt ohne zu spannen.

I know that, when it comes to this face wash, the opinions are divided. Some say that is dries out the skin instead of moisturize it and I can confirm that because I’ve made the same experience when I used too much of it, but if really helps my skin if I stick to a small amount.

Lush "Lemony Flutter" - € 10,95 / 50 ml

Diese Hand- und Nagelbutter war schon bei meinen Winterklassikern vertreten und ich kann sie nicht oft genug empfehlen, da sie auch bei rissigen Füßen bzw. Hornhaut hilft.

This hand and nail butter is an old friend if you are familiar with my blog, it was also included in my winter favorites. It's great stuff whether you have dry nails, hands or cuticles or dry feet like me and what I really like about it is that you don't have to use a lot of the product and it keeps up quite a while.

The Body Shop "Chocomania"
Body Lotion - € 13,- / 250 ml

Ich liebe den Schokogeruch, welcher auch auf der Haut aufgetragen nicht verblässt. Versorgt die Haut 24 Stunden mit Feuchtigkeit und ist dank des Pumpspenders gut zu dosieren.

I love the smell of chocolate, especially on my skin. This lotion hydrates your skin and the result lasts 24 hours (and more). I also like the package and the pump dispenser.

Lush "Whoosh" Shower Jelly - € 6,65 - / 100 g

Das Shower Jelly duftet herrlich nach Zitrusfrüchten, dennoch werde ich es aufgrund des “Puddingeffekt” nicht mehr nachkaufen, da es sich nicht optimal verteilen lässt und oft aus der Hand gleitet :-(

Even if I love Lush products, I won’t buy this shower jelly again because it’s not “handy” and always slips away when I want to use it. I’ll definitely prefer a shower gel or cream.

The Body Shop "Aloe Protective Restoring Mask" - € 19,- / 100 ml

Mein “nein” zu diesem Produkt begründe ich damit, dass mir Masken, die man abwaschen muss, lieber sind. Außerdem sollte sie meine Haut beruhigen und Rötungen abklingen lassen, was leider nicht geschah.

The description of this products says that the mask should calm the skin and therefore reduce redness, but sadly that was not the case. Another reason why I won't give this mask another try is that I prefer mask that can be rinsed out. 

Diadermine "Lift und Hautperfektion -
Hautverschönerndes Multi-Zonen-Öl" - € 12,99 / 100 ml

Als Körperöl an sich finde ich das Produkt, das in der Glossybox Oktober enthalten war, sehr gut. Dass meine Haut straffer als zuvor oder Makel verschwunden wären, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Was ich außerdem “stört” ist, dass das Produkt rasch verbraucht ist obwohl, es nicht so billig ist. Sollte ich kein anderes Körperöl finden, das mir zusagt, werde ich auf dieses zurückgreifen, daher ein “vielleicht”.

I cannot confirm that my skin is tighter than before or blemishes would have disappeared. What I also "critize" is that the product is used up quickly though, it's not cheap. If I don't find another body oil that suits me, I'll fall back on this, so it's a "maybe". 

Rosie "Classic eye care" - € 34,90 / 15 ml

Die Augencreme, welche in der Februar Glossybox 2013 enthalten war, würde ich mir vielleicht wieder kaufen, um sie ausführlicher zu testen, da ich einige Monate damit ausgesetzt habe, weil sie mir im Sommer zu reichhaltig war. Von daher sind meine feinen Linien nicht nicht verschwunden. Unschlüssig bin ich deshalb, da mir eine Geltextur, die kühlt doch lieber und das Produkt für 15 ml nicht billig ist.

I am not sure if I want to buy this product again because I prefer an eye cream with a gel formula and it was too rich for me in summer (sweat!), therefor I did not use it in the hot season, so I cannot say if it really helps to reduce fine lines and under-eye circles.
