New in: Jo Malone Candle

Einige Produkte bzw. Marken werden so gehypt, dass ich mich manchmal frage, ob die Produkte wirklich so gut sind oder ob dahinter einfach nur ein ausgezeichnetes Marketing steckt, so wie bei den Kerzen von Jo Malone. Immerhin kostet eine davon ca. € 54,-. Stolzer Preis, ich weiß. Auch, wenn ich für gewisse Dinge bereit bin (mehr) Geld auszugeben, dafür definitiv nicht.
Dennoch war ich vom Design (ja, das Auge isst mit!) sehr angetan und auch die positiven Berichte darüber konnte ich nicht ignorieren. Was tun? Rauf auf die Weihnachtswunschliste damit. Und wie ihr sehen könnt, wurde mein Wunsch erfüllt.

Die Kerze duftet wunderbar nach Orangenblüten und Wasserlilie und ich muss zugeben, dass sie ihr Geld wert ist (leider!). Mein Geschenk war wunderschön verpackt, sodass man wirklich das Gefühl hat, nichts “Gewöhnliches” zu kaufen. Die Brenndauer beträgt 45 Stunden und ich kann mich nicht daran satt riechen ;-)

EN: Some products or brands are so hyped that I often wonder myself, if the products are really that great or if just a brilliant marketing strategy lies behind it, such with the candles from Jo Malone. After all, one of them costs approximately € 54,-. Kinda pricey, I know. Even, if I am willing to spend (more) money for certain things, but not for a candle.
Still, I was into the design (yes, feast for the eyes!) and I could not ignore the positive reports I've read about it. So what to do? Put in on my Christmas wish list. And as you can see, my wish was fulfilled.

The candle smells wonderfully of orange blossom and water lily, and I have to admit that it is worth the money. My gift was beautifully packaged, so you really have the feeling to buy something extraordinary. The burn time is 45 hours and I want to smell it all the time ;-)
